Aiyo it's not that close lah; it'll be scary if the people at the CC are within touching distance with a bamboo pole, *shudders*. It'll just be a hell lot more noise, and reduced privacy, not that there is much 'privacy' to speak of in the first place. It seems as if I've been accustomed to the noise that this neighbourhood (and CC) of mine has been producing since goodness knows when.
How's everyone else been?
Estranged as usual, i see, our class.
(i hear someone going, "what class?")
(while another gives an inaudible sigh...)

Awesome. You can stick bamboo clothespoles into people's eyes when they try to peer in through your window.

Hey Brandon! It's so nice hearing from you! :) As you're roughing it out in Australia, I'm ploughing through pinter's The Homecoming for a term paper and thinking about change in singapore: do you know that they are going to revamp the community centre downstairs now (yes, the same one in your memory)? They are extending the 'open space' area on the 5th level to the area just in front of my 5th storey flat unit, so i'll have people peeping into my room soon! Argh...i still remember those abacus days fondly though, haha; we've grown so fast since then! The vagaries of life indeed... change, change, and more change.
Okay then, i'd better get back to pinter. Do take care over there, brandon! You'll be back in no time, you're right, seeing how time speeds by us so rapidly nowadays. And best wishes for our imminent examinations, class! :)
Lenny: Eh, Teddy, you haven't told us much about your Doctorship of Philosophy. What do you teach?
Teddy: Philosophy.

Let's make it a dialogue then, Yiling... Brandon here, now in Western Australia, bumming around on a Sunday afternoon, still in denial that I have to fly tomorrow and I have insufficient preparation. Will eventually get to my manuals and books, but till then just a quick update. Hope everyone is still doing fine back in Singapore, prepping for exams and stuff. Life here isn't so much a breeze as it is a a raging whirlwind. It's fast and long days here, so I guess a year should pass quickly. Getting homesick with all the food and other comforts of life back in Singapore, but I guess adapting is a key trait of survival for us pilots. Will be putting in my best to forge out my career, hope everyone still has drive in pushing hard for their own careers. Take care A01E.

(This is like a monologue)
Hello again, everyone! This place is deader than the wasteland, but nevermind, ha. How's everyone? The only person from our class that I've been seeing now of late is seok, heh, cos' we're in a similar module this semester :) . Are we all packed with assignment submissions and tests? Cos' I am: 2 tests and 2 assignment submissions lined up prettily next week!!!
Take care, everyone! :)
(She leaves this monologue before it gets more incomprehensible...)

hey guys, for those of you who are in singapore, p/s do catch "singapore dreaming" by talkingcock's colin goh and wife. i went to catch it on impulse and actually found myself moved to tears by it......don't be deceived by the 'jack neo'-ish covering, for it totally isn't his kind of fare at all. For one, the entire cast is extremely strong and unbelievably natural with their solid chemistry. Also, the characters are very well and convincingly developed, and any take-home messages the directors planned are also subtlely woven into the whole film together with the haunting theme song which comes back in its tear-inducing variations (i.e. this film is essentially free from jack neo's blatant didactics, but will still nonetheless make you think). For the arthouse lovers, lay off the cynicism and just go catch this; we can't operate in 'deeply reflective' arthouse mode all the time ;) If not anything, just go for the acting :)
Take care!

P.S: okay, i realise i'm replying to your "draft" message, i wonder why, hmm.....yr "draft" is not reflected in the main blog, haha, but nvm.

Haha, talk about irony: it's already "this week" as we speak, i.e. 22 July.
Just came back from a usc camp on thursday night, and boy was it good to see our seniors again! I still can't get used to the fact that our rj seniors are now my "freshies" and I'm supposed to be their "seniors", but ah, nevermind :) . I still feel that camps are such transient things, though the freshies in my OG this year are really enthusiastic and fast on their feet and brains.
School is going to reopen soon. I don't know if i should sigh or be happy, ha.
K k, have a good weekend, y'all!

Ah, hello, hello, I think the release of Pirates this week is the /perfect/ excuse to get together. Anyone with me?

Hello, people!
As usual, this place is as silent as ever. It's strange how one doesn't think of blogs much; one thinks of checking one's emails more than checking a class blog. Or at least that's the way things go with me. So how're things going? To me, it seems as if everyone else is forgetting everyone else, or perhaps time does this to all under its grasp. Look at how i'm musing to practically no one again, sigh...
Alrighty, off to harmonise some music.
And take care wherever you are!

Hi everyone, long time no see. Wondering if any of you want to meet up, since we haven't seen each other in quite a while. Suggest a dinner and movie and maybe adjourn to someone's house for mahjong or something. Since most of those overseas should be back for the next few weeks, this should be the best time now. I'm up to organise this if this is interest for it, so whoever is reading this give our classmates a call, see who else is up for this.

Woah okay, i realised that i last visited this blog in, like, the last day of last year, oooops. In june when april returns, hmm...boy boy boy has time flew like no one's business again, sigh. I'm now involved in this production, but will be considerably less busy in the subsequent months to come, i think. Hmm. Then again, i'm never entirely 'not-busy'.
Heh.
Okie okie, let me go tinkle some ivories now. ;) Good bye all! Keep this blog alive!
P.S: Somehow, i feel as if we've all forgotten this blog. I only just remembered it a few minutes ago, ooops...

just came back frm brunei on the 22nd.
not the best place to be in when given a choice...haha.
pretty boring though the ppl there neednt pay for their medical fees, education (up till uni!) & best of all no taxes...haha.
pretty amazing how much money you can spend on a mosque...how about US$200+ mil?
perhaps tt's why i've nv seen chandeliers in a mosque or air-conditioned, well-carpeted prayer rooms.
exams ought to be over or nearly over for the uni gals right?
how's life on your side?
